Dr. Jörg Sommer, LL.M. (Hong Kong)
Dr. Jörg Sommer advises clients in all areas of corporate law and M&A. He specializes in national and cross-border corporate acquisitions as well as joint venture design, with a focus on, in particular, the energy industry, including oil, petrochemical, wind, solar, and mechanical engineering.
After his studies in Frankfurt am Main, Dr. Ing. Jörg Sommer completed a LL.M. Program at the University of Hong Kong and received a doctorate from the Humboldt University Berlin. He has been a practicing Attorney since 1996 and was counsel at a German oil company for several years. After working many years for Clifford Chance, he joined Luther in 2011 as a corporate-partner. He has joined BRP as a partner in 2018.

In 2020, 2021 and 2022, Jörg has been recognized as a leading expert in mergers and acquisitions law in the ranking „Germany´s Best Lawyers“ released by the US specialist publisher Best Lawyers and the Handelsblatt.
