Martin is a patent attorney and provides advice on matters pertaining to patent and utility model law. He specializes in drafting patent and utility model registration applications and enforcing them at the relevant patent offices. His ability to provide solid advice stems from his experience as a certified engineer / graduate industrial engineer in the following Areas:

  • general engineering, including machine tools, cutting tools and jet engines
  • hydraulic elements
  • automotive engineering, automotive accessories, exhaust and cooling systems (particularly in vehicles)
  • medical equipment and devices
  • lighting systems
  • metal and wood constructional elements
  • building materials and procedures
  • electrical appliances (particularly coffee makers and hair styling appliances, exercise machines and health and wellness appliances)

 

Martin received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Stuttgart and his doctorate in 2001 from the Institut für Werkstoffe im Bauwesen (Institute of Building Materials); for his dissertation, the Readymix Förderpreis was conferred on him in 2002. At the same time, he received a degree in economics from the Distance Teaching University of Hagen. He became a partner at BRP in 2008. He speaks German and English.
